The state-of-the-art AmeriServ Water Damage Restoration carpet restoration methods we use depend on the type of carpet being treated:
With Glued Carpets
1. All excess water is thoroughly extracted.
2. The carpet is scientifically treated with a modern fungicide.
3. Your carpet is then completely cleaned using AmeriServ Water Damage Restoration's exclusive methods.
4. The carpet is re-treated with finishing fungicides and a custom deodorant.
With Carpet & Pad
1. All excess water is thoroughly extracted.
2. The wet pad must be removed and completely disposed of.
3. Carpeting is restored on-site or if necessary at a AmeriServ Water Damage Restoration warehouse** where it is scientifically treated with modern fungicides and custom deodorant, and then stored on special racks until ready for re-installation over new pad.
4. Your carpet is then re-installed and thoroughly cleaned using AmeriServ Water Damage Restoration's
exclusive cleaning methods. (Cleaning after installation helps prevent shrinkage.)
5. As a final step, your carpet is re-treated with finishing fungicides and deodorant.
As the recognized experts in water damage restoration, AmeriServ Water Damage Restoration has developed specialized cleaning methods and products -- including specially formulated fungicides and deodorants designed for more effective treatment of water damaged carpeting.
*Furniture and equipment must be moved off of wet carpet, or blocked and padded. ** We do not recommend moving less expensive grades of carpet. Unless the carpet is of high grade and quality the moving expense and inconvenience may prove infeasible.
